Hi, Iām Colleen. I am a family historian pursuing a career as a professional genealogist through the International Institute of Genealogical Studies. I developed an interest as a teenager after the passing of my paternal grandfather. I tried to find his full legal name, as it was unknown, the hunt for the birth certificate began. From there I developed a passion for genealogy and began working on all my family lines. Prior to becoming a student of Genealogy, I currently work in the medical field as an office assistant for the local hospital. The skillsets of customer service and problem solving are perfect for my new genealogical skillset. I love helping others discover the thrill and excitement of starting to find their place in history and an ancestor or two. When I am not working on genealogy, the wild wilderness of the Yukon in the summer allows me to do camping, fishing and walking my dogs. In the winter time shoveling snow, knitting socks, or reading a book in my comfy reclining chair.
This is me in a nutshell, and I look forward to working with you finding and developing deep family connections of past and present.
